Textbook information
Metwest does not cover cost for concurrent enrollment textbook
Dayana can provide a free PDF copy of textbook if avaliable, or if we have a physical copy at MetWest already. Please fill out this Form: Peralta Textbook Request
You will be responsible for finding and paying for textbooks.
Some courses have a "Zero Cost Textbook" notice within the search which means you can access all of the materials for the course for free.
Consider a textbook rental service to reduce your costs.
Courses that have an electronic component to their class may require new digital books.
Many learners have already taken classes at the college, so I recommend asking around before purchasing the book. Some donate books to me for previous classes, check out my shelf in my office to see if your book is there and you can borrow it for free.
Dual Enrollment
The OUSD Dual Enrollment (DE) Program is open to all 9th-12th grade students at OUSD High Schools.
The DE courses are Peralta College courses offered at the high school site (or virtually), typically during the school day, with Peralta College instructors.
Students receive both high school and college credit, and courses are completely free to students.
In passing the DE course, students receive a GPA boost on their OUSD transcript and fulfill course requirements they can apply towards their college degree.
Textbooks will be provided for free, by the school, for Dual Enrollment Course only.
What You Need to Enroll into your our MetWest Dual Enrollment Class:
Peralta Student ID (This will be an 8-digit number). You can find this in an email from Peralta Admissions. If you do not have one, please head over to "How to Enroll to Peralta Colleges" page.H

Once you're done with your Peralta application & DE Form, notify your counselor and/or your school's DE Coordinator. The final step to get enrolled into a DE course is for your name and Peralta info to get inputted into a Google Enrollment Roster.
